Newberry National Volcanic Monument

I recently found out what it is like to be a hotdog on a grill.

A volcano thingy in Oregon turned out to be hot and looked like charcoal on a grill.

Banana slugs

Not to be educational, because I know that's my sisters job, but banana slugs can either be yellow, green, brown, white, and sometimes yellow with brown spots, this is how they get their name.  They grow up to 25 cm long and can move 6 1/2 inches per minute.  If you were wondering, banana slugs are my favorite mollusk.

A Giant Sequoia Tree
(it's fatter in person)

In Gilroy there is a garlic festival that is very popular and happened to be going on when we were driving through Gilroy.  However, we had to park very far away from the festival and take a shuttle.  It was incredibly crowded and hot, so we decided it wasn't worth it.  Mom began to navigate us to Garlic World, which is a garlic store, but it didn't look as good as it sounds, so we continued up the road and found the Garlic Shoppe.  We stopped in and got to taste different garlic products.  We also bought some chocolate garlic ice cream and vanilla garlic ice cream.  It was very good.  When it is in your mouth it tastes like ice cream and when you swallow you get a hint of garlic.  It was interesting but tasty!  We also bought a dark chocolate peanut butter and garlic cup that we have yet to try.

This was the Garlic Shoppe's mascot.

In the Garlic Shoppe i also found some baby corn and thought it was cute.

Tickets for a tour of Alcatraz were sold out, so we didn't get to go to Alcatraz but we did have a nice view of Alcatraz as we were walking around San Francisco, and here it is.

At a campground in Kings Canyon National Park dad and I found these large pinecones while walking Timber.

We also saw a large pinecone in the ranger's station.

This is the entrance gate into China Town in San Francisco.

This is a strange tree we saw when were were walking in San Francisco.

I saw this turtle in China Town and thought he was cute.

This is a video of Timber hunting something down a hole.
(Video Credit to Mom)

In China Town we saw hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil monkeys, and because i love monkeys i took a picture with them.

Mom took a picture of we looking up a burn scar on a Giant Sequoia tree.  I could see up the tree, but the tree was beginning to heal.  The fire was not recent and the sequoia tree across from this one was already healed.

Tomorrow we will be driving over the Golden Gate Bridge and i will get to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time!

Hello! To answer the comments about having to use your imagination to see the pictures of Lake Tahoe and the Harvey sign, they were both videos which can not be viewed from a phone or mobile device such as an iPad.  Sorry for the inconvenience but its the website's rule not mine!

This is a view of Yosemite before we entered a big long tunnel to exit the park.

We stopped at a little barbecue place along 395 the other day and i saw this license plate hanging on the wall.
Idaho Bobs Famous Potatoes!

These are deer that you might believe to be real, but really are not.
These deer go along with this video of fake fruit at a farm stand!
(sorry for the poor quality but the gist of it is haha gotcha this fruit is fake the real stuff is over there)
There was real fruit however we didn't see any real deer.

Where's Harvey the Rv: A big long mountain tunnel, that leads to a cliff with a windy downhill road, that leads out of Yosemite National Park

We have picked up mom and driven to California.  We are out of the boring desert so now I am starting up my blog.  Here are some videos and pictures, enjoy!

While we were driving endless miles to reach mom by the end of the week i did some coloring.  The only coloring book we had (i can't draw) was one Amy bought in Rome, so i colored an ancient roman soldier.

We parked Harvey the Rv next to a sign clearly for him!

This was our view of Lake Tahoe from the rock we walked to.

We stopped at a scenic rest stop and instead of enjoying the scenery, we took a selfie on a cool rock.

I thought these trees (pretty much the only trees we saw for almost 3 days) looked like the trees I pretended my broccoli was when I tried to eat in in one bite, like a dinosaur, when I was little.

Where's Harvey the Rv : The Middle of Nowhere

I thought this section of salty desert looked like cheese cake with broccoli on it. That probably wouldn't taste very good and i would not want to try it, but thats just what i saw.

Silly Timber wanted to sit on the dinette, but dad had moved the big pillows onto the seat and Timber crawled up under them.  She was being a little camera shy, so this is the best picture we got.
