Newberry National Volcanic Monument

I recently found out what it is like to be a hotdog on a grill.

A volcano thingy in Oregon turned out to be hot and looked like charcoal on a grill.

  1. Karen,

As I mentioned in your sister’s blog I have been having computer issues so am just getting to enjoy your blogs. Once again your humor and outlook on life is quite entertaining! I hope you didn’t get a sun burn with your reference to finding out what a hotdog feels like. I know it goes back a ways but I really hope you kept those pinecone earrings; I think you could start a trend with them. I bet your mother would like that broccoli cheese cake!

    Love,
    Uncle Chris

  2. Karen, You have been in the sun and RV too long. Your imagination is running wild. I enlarged the pictures, but couldn't find the hot dog. Grill was a little large for a foot-long hot dog, or I need new glasses. Keep making us smile. Love you, Beach Grandma

  3. Hi Karen - Where is the picture of your Mom dressed like a sea slug? How disappointing! And I hope you did not touch those hot coals on the volcano thingy because that would be a bummer of a way to find out what a hot dog feels like on a grill. Hey!! Maybe your Mom can dress up like a hot dog and you can all sing the Oscar Meyer Weiner song and then post that for our viewing pleasure! Come on please!!! Here are the lyrics, just in case you need them:

"Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer weiner,
that is what I'd truly like to be,
'cause if I were an Oscar Mayer weiner,
everyone would be in love with me."

Or you could make up your own words - even better!!!

Have fun today wherever you may be!! Love, Auntie Pam xoxoxoxoxo

  4. I'm still waiting for the Oscar Mayer wiener song! Last trip I recall the popcorn song but this time there has been no musical interlude to entertain us. Come on - there's still time! xoxoxoxo Love, Auntie Pam
